Lisa Farrell
Leeds
I love to write, eat, travel and cook. My day job is Communications Officer (aka chief ‘word nerd’) for a university, and in my spare time I blog about food and travel, alongside studying part-time for an MA in Creative Writing.
An honorary Yorkshire lass after nearly ten happy years living in Leeds, I’m a huge advocate for Leeds’ independent food and drink scene. I think there’s something really special about the way independents collaborate to create an exciting food culture in Leeds, and I’m a proud member of the Leeds Food and Drink Association, which exists to promote this culture and make Leeds famous for its food and drink.
The majority of my writing online involves me singing the praises of food and drink in Leeds, but you’ll also find me eating and drinking my way through other destinations in the UK and beyond. Yes, I’m very greedy.
There’s more words from me at whereslisa.com and The Culture Vulture. 140-character procrastination more your thing? I’m @_lisafarrell_. Prefer substandard pictures of food tarted up with a Valencia filter? I’m your girl on Instagram – I’m @whereslisa.
